Women's health is always in the spotlight

Cancer is an acute medical and social problem that seriously affects the health of people around the world today.

According to the World Health Organization, the incidence of such diseases is growing from year to year. The most common of oncological diseases is breast cancer. The next places are stomach, lung and cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is the only cancer that can be prevented. The main cause of the disease (98-99%) is the human papillomavirus (HPV).

Precancerous lesions precede cancer. If the disease is detected at an early stage, the time required for treatment will be sufficient.

Early diagnosis and treatment of human papillomavirus have reduced the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer.

To this end, in cooperation with the Research Institute of Virology and the South Korean KOFIH Foundation, screening procedures are carried out in the following 6 family clinics:

  1. Yunusabad District Central Polyclinic;
  2. Chilonzar District Central Polyclinic;
  3. Tashkent Central Polyclinic No. 2;
  4. Mirzo-Ulugbek District Central Polyclinic;
  5. Yashnaabad District Central Polyclinic;
  6. Shaykhantakhur District Central Polyclinic.

All Women aged 30 to 49 included in the list underwent free screening for cervical cancer.

More than 6,000 women were screened in Tashkent.

According to the results of the study, the virus was detected in 11.7% of women, and further testing of these women will begin in January.

Changes identified during the screening process are monitored by the relevant doctors and the necessary recommendations are given.
