Visit of Chief Consultant, Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation Department, FORTIS Hospital, India.
Within the framework of the signed memorandum between the Research Institute of Virology and the Fortis Healthcare group clinic (India), on November 18, 2021, a visit was made by Dr. Mukul Rastogi, Chief Consultant, Department of Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation, FORTIS Clinic, India.
According to the program of the visit, Dr. Mukul Rastogi met with the Director of the Research Institute of Virology, E. I. Musabaev, during which they discussed the current situation in the world regarding chronic viral hepatitis and treatment methods. Then a consultation was held for outpatients and hospitalized patients with severe liver diseases, in particular cirrhosis, at the Research Institute of Virology clinic. Together with the doctors, a detailed analysis of each clinical case was carried out and recommendations were given. At the end of the consultation, Dr Mukul Rastogi gave a lecture to the staff of the Research Institute of Virology on the current topic: "Management of patients with viral hepatitis B with delta agent" and answered questions from Uzbek colleagues.
Overall, the visit was fruitful. Dr Mukul Rastogi shared his knowledge with specialists of the Research Institute of Virology, patients expressed gratitude for the fact that they were able to get a consultation from a highly qualified foreign specialist. The importance and fruitfulness of the meeting was noted by all parties. Dr Mukul Rastogi's visit was covered by the media.
