VIII Admission Department of the Clinic of the Research Institute of Virology

The admission department is a division of the clinic where patients are admitted and registered, examined, objectively examined and initially diagnosed, sanitized, transported to the treatment department, provided with information and reference work, and, if necessary, provided with emergency medical care. The admission department of the clinic receives patients with acute diarrhea, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis of viral etiology, and HIV-infected patients. The admissions department provides specialized medical care to patients who have applied, conducts differential diagnostics and establishes a diagnosis of the disease.

The main functions of the admissions department:

1. Admission, registration, examination (primary diagnostics) and distribution of patients.
2. Filling out medical documentation.
3. Sanitary treatment of hospitalized patients.
4. Transportation of patients to the treatment department.
5. Information and reference function.
