The Republic of Uzbekistan is included in countries endemic to viral hepatitis. In 2018, pilot studies were underway to organize hepatitis B and C screening and provide access to antiviral therapy. Resolution No. 243, signed by the President of Uzbekistan in 2022, "On improving measures to counter the spread of certain topical viral infections", will allow WHO to fulfil the tasks of eliminating hepatitis C and reducing hepatitis B by 2030. The Conference will discuss the latest achievements in treating a significant problem for Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries - viral hepatitis D. The issues of monitoring and treatment of patients with end-stage viral hepatitis B, D, C and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease are also relevant for Uzbekistan. A broad discussion of the world experience in the elimination of viral hepatitis with international experts will help unite the efforts of infectious diseases doctors, epidemiologists, gastroenterologists, general practitioners and other specialists in solving urgent problems of combating viral hepatitis.
An exhibition will accompany the Conference with the participation of leading medicines and medical and laboratory equipment manufacturers.
