Within the framework of the signed memorandum between the Research Institute of Virology and the Fortis Healthcare group (India) clinic, on November 18, 2021, Dr Mukul Rastogi, Chief Consultant of the Department of Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation, FORTIS Clinic, India, paid a visit.

According to the program of the visit, Dr. Mukul Rastogi held a meeting with the director of the Research Institute of Virology Musabaev E. I. During which issues of the current situation in the world regarding chronic viral hepatitis, treatment methods were discussed. Then, outpatient and hospitalized patients with severe liver diseases, in particular with cirrhosis, were consulted at the clinic of the Research Institute of Virology. Together with the doctors, a detailed analysis of each clinical case was carried out and recommendations were given. At the end of the consultation, Dr. Mukul Rastogi gave a lecture to the staff of the Virology Research Institute on the current topic: "Management of patients with viral hepatitis B with delta agent" and answered the questions of Uzbek colleagues.

 In general, the visit was productive. Dr. Mukul Rastogi shared his knowledge with the specialists of the Virology Research Institute; the patients expressed their gratitude for the fact that they were able to get advice from a highly qualified foreign specialist.
