  3. Purpose of the seminar: The purpose of the seminar is for experts from Central Asia, Caucasus and Eastern Europe to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis B and C
  4. Objectives of the meeting: to study legal issues, to get acquainted with modern methods of laboratory diagnostics, to raise awareness about bio-safety and security issues, to learn how to use mobile laboratory complex
  5. Organizers: Robert Koch Institute (Federal Republic of Germany) and EuroVOH
  6. Invited organizations: representatives of the seminar countries 10.
  7. Participants of the meeting: delegations from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Georgia. In online format-Armenia
  8. Main results and recommendations: recommendations for training specialists in testing were received at the conference. Recommendations on qualitative data collection and processing were received. Recommendations on preventing the spread of viral hepatitis in the countries of participants.
  9. Nature of information received: Lectures, working in teams, methodology of qualitative data collection and processing.
  10. Conclusion: Seminar "Evaluation of COVID-19 pandemic impact on viral hepatitis B and C elimination efforts in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COVIMPACT Hepatitis)": received lectures on work with viral hepatitis, learned about work with groups at risk in the Federal Republic of Germany, gained knowledge about collecting and processing qualitative data, discussed ways to increase efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis-work with Miro, which allows to set priorities in research efforts.
