In 2023, with the support of the KOFIH Foundation (South Korea), a training and simulation room was created in the Institute, equipped according to international requirements, designed for the training of laboratory technicians, cytologists and geneticists in the field of cytopathology. The room was equipped with two 5 channel microscopes Nikon C-LP and OLYMPUS BX40F-3, furniture, computer and microscope connected with HDML cable with smart TV.
Application of simulation method for cytology is an innovative method of cytologic examination, ideal for diagnosing neoplasia of the canalicular mucosa and vaginal part of the uterine cervix; it is used when the patient suspects cancer or dysplasia. Thanks to this method, it is possible to detect cancer at the earliest stages of development.
On May 15, 2024 with the support of Hannover Medical School within the framework of the project “Prevention of virus-induced liver cancer in Uzbekistan: Tashkent-Hanover Liver Network (PLUTHO)” for doctors of ultrasound diagnostics the training and simulation room of the Institute was equipped with Schallware ultrasound modeling simulator.
PLUTHO project “Prevention of virus-induced liver cancer in Uzbekistan” is supported by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The equipment will enable the creation of a structured training program on ultrasound diagnosis of early detection of liver cancer for doctors in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will improve early diagnosis of HCC associated with hepatitis viruses.
