VIII- Emergency Department of the clinic of Scientific-Research Institute of Virology

An emergency department is a polyclinic department where patients are admitted and registered; check up, physical examination and primary diagnosis, rehabilitation, transportation of patients in the clinic, information and reference work are carried out, emergency medical assistance is provided if necessary. The emergency department of the clinic receives patients with acute diarrhea, acute and chronic viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis of viral etiology and HIV-infected patients. The staff provides specialized medical care to patients, a differential diagnosis is made and the disease is diagnosed.

Main functions of Emergency Department:

1. Reception, registration, examination (initial diagnostics) and distribution of patients.
2. Filling of medical records.
3. Sanitization of patients, admitted to hospital.
4. Transportation of patients in treatment section.
5. Enquiry -Information function.

    Emergency Department consists of highly qualified doctors who are able to work in extreme conditions, to cope with emergency situations and help patients in serious condition.
