Scientific-practical Conferences
International activities of SRI of Virology is aimed at improving the Institute status in the world educational and scientific community. This work is carried out within the framework of cooperation with foreign universities, organizations and associations for implementation of international educational programs and projects, for joint scientific-research activity, for organization of scientific-practical seminars and conferences, exchanges of personnel.
The main objective of the Department of international cooperation is solving of complex task of establishing and maintaining strong international relations with foreign organizations and implementation of activities, aimed at strengthening research, educational potential of Virology SRI.
Main tasks of the Department:
- development of proposals and coordination of structural units work of SRI of Virology on international agreements conclusion, coordination of work on implementation of international cooperation programs;
- development of long-term plans for development of the Institute international relations;
- development and organization of events for the development of international relations;
- expansion of the Institute's activities in international organizations, projects, programs;
- preparation and implementation of international educational and scientific-research projects;
- preparation and meeting of foreign delegations, arriving at the Institute with the official, working, informal (private) visits;
- involvement of foreign teachers in lecturing
- support of communications with representatives of European and international organizations, situated on the territory of Uzbekistan;
- Organization of meetings and Protocol escort of delegations;
- search for prospective partners, drafting of agreements and international cooperation programs;
- organization of international events, including conferences and round tables.

In accordance with the plan of measures to combat chronic viral hepatitis in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017 and a set of measures to further improve the methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases, including viral hepatitis in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017-2021 (annexes to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers №537 dated 07.24.2017):
Annually conduct training workshops with major infectious diseases doctors at the Research Institute of Virology of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan in accordance with the Minutes of the meeting of the Republican Emergency Situation of the anti-epidemic commission of January 25, 2017, on March 2-3 this year, a workshop was held to develop an Action Plan to combat chronic viral hepatitis for 2017”.
On September 27, 2017, master class was held on theme «Working out of clinical protocols in the treatment of infectious diseases. New algorithm for treatment of hepatitis С and В» with participation of foreign specialists.
On November 9, 2018, in SRI of Virology, «Seminar on "Modern approaches to parenteral nutrition for patients with nutritional deficiency» was held for researchers, doctors of the clinic, clinical residents and students of the Department. Lecturer: Vyacheslav Ervandovich Avakov, MD, Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and reanimatology TMA, Director of the emergency centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On Decembrer 14, 2018, in SRI of Virology, seminar-training was held «Topical issues of hepatology» by specialists of «NSCS named after A. N. On March 28, 2019, at the Research Institute of Virology, a scientific seminar on "Genetic diversity of HIV-1 in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia" was organized for researchers, clinic doctors, clinical residents, and cadets of the department.

November 21-22, 2019 at the Institute of Virology, a master class was organized, together with specialist Ilyasova Bibigul Saparbekova, a leading researcher of the Department of Hepatology and Transplantology of the National Scientific Center of Surgery named after A.N. Syganov, Almaty. A.N. Syganov National Scientific Center of Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, Almaty.
The master class consisted of two parts.
From 9.30 am to 12.00 pm joint examination and sorting out of patients from intensive care and cirrhosis departments were carried out. Staff of the institute and clinic, as well as cadets of the department of infectious diseases Tashkent Instute of Postgraduate Medicine participated in the analysis of patients.

Institute staff conducted online training of doctors-virologists in the regions of the Republic on testing the express kit "WanTai Bio-Pharm SARS-CoV-2 Ab Rapid test (total Ab)" designed to determine the total antibody.
In October 2020, a meeting was held to organize training for the year 2021 on the operation of the mobile laboratory.
In order to combat COVID-19, protect public health, ensure a stable sanitary and epidemiological situation and share international experience, on December 17-18, 2020, an international online scientific and practical conference "COVID-19. What do we know and how to act? Uzbekistan and international experience".

The main goal of the conference is to strengthen interaction between the systems of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, exchange of experience, timely detection, treatment, and prevention of the spread of the disease among the population.
The international online scientific conference was devoted to the global scientific research on COVID-19, clinical trials of vaccine effectiveness, disease prevention, contact tracing, laboratory diagnosis and quality control, as well as the situation with COVID-19 in Uzbekistan, development of a domestic test system and achievements in Uzbekistan on this infection and the effectiveness of their practical application.
There were 290 connections. At the end of the conference, all participants were provided with certificates (12 hours)
4.Together with the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Healthcare Professional Development and Department of Public Health of Chicago, conducted a webinar on the topic: "COVID-19 infection control system in Chicago", April 21, 2021.

During business, trip three seminars were conducted in:
- Republican Children's Infectious Disease Hospital
- Clinical Multiprofile Hospital No.1 in Nukus, Karakalpakstan.
- The service of sanitary-epidemiological well-being and public health of the Republic of Karakalpakstan with doctors of practical health on topical issues of etiology, epidemiology, clinic, diagnostics, etiotropic therapy, prevention, epidemiological surveillance of influenza, other acute respiratory viral infections and COVID-19. A total of 108 medical workers attended the seminars.
Methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health were elaborated: "Method of control and development of measures of limitation of spread and decrease of complications and mortality from COVID-19", No 8n-r/1001 from 01.11.2021; "Epidemiological surveillance and laboratory control of coronavirus infections", No 8n-r/211 from 26.02.2022.
The seminars were attended by staff of SES&H in Jizzak oblast, family doctors from polyclinics, infectious disease specialists, in addition to them, epidemiologists, phthisiatricians and others. Lectures were given at the seminar.
The Scientific Council is the highest governing body of the organization of scientific work. The Scientific Council examines the main issues of the institute, reports and reports of the heads of departments, chief specialists of the institute, as well as doctoral students and applicants. Questions of supervision over the execution of orders of the institute, the results of dissertations and other research activities, as well as other issues are considered in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Charter. The Scientific Council of the Institute organizes its activities on the basis of the provisions of the Charter.
The structure of the Scientific Council includes: the director of the institute - the Chairman of the Scientific Council, the Scientific secretary and the specialists of the institute. The members of the Scientific Council, their number and composition are approved by the Chairman of the Scientific Council and excluded on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Scientific Council.
